Committee first
Under the 2026 amendments, landlords and tenants must take their dispute to the Rental Disputes Settlement Committee before filing any lawsuit.
What it hears
All disputes arising from the landlord-tenant relationship.
Appeals
Appeals against the committee's decisions go to the Court of Appeal.
Prepare
- The lease and its registration
- Proof of payments and cheque copies
- Photos and messages showing the issue
